Welcome to the Empire Palace Hotel in Rome - The Empire Palace Hotel enjoys a privileged place in Rome: within a easy stroll you could be in the Borghese Gardens, sipping a drink while people watching on the Via Veneto, browsing the antiques of Via Margutta or enjoying the spectacle of the Spanish Steps. It opened as a 113 room hotel in 1999 having been a grand house once owned by a noble Venetian Family. Built around a courtyard, where light meals and drinks are served, with stables at the rear, the conversion is a stylish, not to say an opulent, contrast of classic and contemporary. The design works around three themes: Venice, modern art and the stars of the night. The American Bar in the converted stables has the cutting edge of Space Age design while the guestrooms mellow in the lustrous patina of cherrywood and hues of gold. The restaurant, Aureliano, named after the Roman Emperor, serves gourmet seasonal Mediterranean cuisine and fine wines in an aura of classic elegance. Deluxe Rooms - Classical and extremely comfortable rooms with furniture in light cherry wood, decorated with prints coloured by hand. Bathroom is white marble with streaks of gold. Suites - Classical and comfortable deluxe rooms with sitting area, double bed pullout sofa, some with whirlpool bath tubs and some with Jacuzzi shower. Aureliano - Gourmet restaurant with recherche ambience of classical inspiration characterised by the light boiseries, the floral decorations of the vaults. Serves creative and Mediterranean cuisine. Extensive wine list offering a large selection of Italian and foreign crus. Open for lunch 12:30 to 15:00 / dinner 19:30 to 23:00. Seats: 67. La Corte Delle Stelle - A unique feature of the Empire Palace Hotel, the large open-air courtyard with Cypres and Magnolia trees and large umbrellas. It has an attractive 16th century fountain which decorates it. Serves light meals and drinks. Open from 10:00 to 23:00. Seats: 90 The Blue Bar - Trendy cocktail piano bar with live music. Built from the stables of the old Venetian Palace with the original ceiling restored. It is furbished with unusual sofas designed by Philipe Stark. Open from 10:00 to 01:00. Seats: 60.
