Praiano is a small fishing village which is also well prepared for tourists. Historically it was the summer residence of the Doge ( leader of the Amalfitan Replublic) and King Charles of Anjou chose the town as a university seat. A “must to see”in Praiano is the parish church, dedicated to St. Luke which houses relics of the saint and several paintings by the 16th century artist Bernardo Lama.
